Mr. Litman asked us to research some concepts
These are:
Learning to learn: learning to learn refers to discover certain strategies in order to improve our way of studying and at the same time, to be aware of what we are able to do and we are not. It is because learning is a very personal matter, and a technique that works for one person, does not necessary work for everybody.
Aggression at school: Bullying is the act of intentionally causing harm to others, through verbal harassment, physical assault, or other more subtle methods of coercion such as manipulation.
Unfortunately, this issue is getting common in our schools today in Chile.
Victims of bullying can suffer from long term emotional and behavioral problems. Bullying can cause loneliness, depression, anxiety, lead to low self-esteem and increased susceptibility to illness.
Harassment: Harassment means a behavior that threatens or torments somebody, especially very persistently.
In terms of anti-discrimination, harassment is any form of behaviour that:
• You do not want;
• Offends, humiliates or intimidates you; and
• Targets you because of your sex, pregnancy, race, age, marital status, homosexuality, disability, transgender (transsexual) status or carers’ responsibilities.
